YourRetreat @ i-City → Liberty Tower

Liberty Tower · i-City, Shah Alam

The one that's nicer to sit in.

A one-bedroom SoHo for up to three, in the block nearest the bridge into Central i-City mall. Brick feature wall, a proper dining table, an oven rather than a hotplate, and a window that looks over the park instead of the car park.

1 bedroom · 1.5 baths 1–3 guests Oven & dining table Park view Self check-in

The living and dining area of the Liberty Tower unit, with a sofa, rug, kitchen counter and dining chairs against a brick feature wall.

What's in it

The details that decide it.

Getting in

Self check-in with a lockbox, any time from 3pm.

Nobody to meet, no key handover to arrange around your flight.

Sleeping

A queen bed, for up to three guests.

Extra pillows and blankets in the wardrobe, room-darkening blinds on the windows. One bedroom, one and a half bathrooms.

The kitchen

Oven, hob, fridge with a freezer, and a table to actually eat at.

Pots, pans, dishes, cutlery, cooking basics and cleaning things. This is the unit to take if you'd rather cook than order in for the third night running — the other one has a hob but no oven.

Working here

A desk in the corner, against the window.

The dining table takes a laptop and a second person comfortably. If the connection is the deciding factor for your trip, Hyde Tower is the one on the 120 Mbps fibre line.

Parking

One free bay on the premises, included.

There is paid parking in the building too, if you arrive with a second car.

The television

40-inch HDTV with Amazon Prime Video.

Mounted on the brick wall above the console. Sign in with your own account.

The building

Shared pool, gym, a fenced garden and a BBQ grill.

There's exercise equipment in the unit as well, for the mornings you don't want to go down.

The view

Over the park, with the city behind it.

Quieter to look at than the mall side, and it still catches the light park after dark.

Laundry

Washer in the unit. No dryer.

Which in this climate is less of a problem than it sounds, but worth knowing before you pack light for two weeks.
